What a movie! What a movie!! I think it didn't do as well as it should have due to lack of good publicity. It might do much better if it's released now after all the promotion it's got.

Unlucky are those who didn't watch Udaan! Unluckier are those who watched Udaan but couldn't appreciate it!! :-)

@gladitsmonday BBB wtf? that shit is pure garbage bro, you can call me names all you want but everyone can clearly say band baja gaand doesnt even compare to UDAAN. sure in bollywood BBB got the praise, it deserved it, but UDAAN brought another standard of film making in bollywood. i am actually proud of it. story wise its stretch of a mile. Udaan has that realistic sense, domestic violence is a serious issue around the world

@gladitsmonday @gladitsmonday Dude you might be one of those guys who worships BBB (Band Baaja Baaraat). I mean that movie is old as dirt now...no one ever cares or talks about it now. The only reason I brought up BBB because it was released in the same year as Udaan and got enough recognition in Bollywood. On the other hand Udaan will stay forever ! It has gained enough recognition outside of Bollywood, like featuring in Canes Film Festival and Film Forward (Part of Sundance Film Festival)

Just because this is a great movie doesn't mean you have to bash BBB. It's not the story, it's the execution. This had a new and better story, but both films are well-made and very grounded in Indian life unlike most Bollywood movies these days. If you want to bash typical Bollywood fare there are millions of crappy ones out there to choose from.
