Reidling Roof - Shoddy repair job, new roof leaks - Indianapolis

This video was recorded on the evening of November 24, 2010. My home's roof was completely torn off and redone in the fall of 2008 after storm damage. I've complained for the past two years of leaks in my home that have caused damage. The roof was done by Reidling Construction of Indianapolis. Voicemails and e-mails have gone unanswered. I must go through the general contractor of another company to act as a go-between to MAKE this company show up only to performed hap-hazard repairs. I've been told by the owner of Reidling Construction that the roof does NOT leak. This is video of the area above my kitchen sink just shortly after a major rainfall finally fell. I had recorded video on my cell phone when the leak was worse; however, it will not upload from my phone. Consumer beware of Reidling Construction. I've been talked down to, threatened, had property stolen and property damaged including the chimney of my house that the owner of Reidling Construction wanted to tear down at roof level and then shingle over it versus repairing it!! I will never recommend this company to anyone. I wish that I had found a video like this before Reidling Construction was hired to perform the roof work by the company doing the siding. I WOULD recommend America's Best Patio of Indianapolis though.
4/20/2011 - Looks as though the only option left, is to file a claim with Reidling Construction's insurance company and drag this stuff out in court. I hope to be able to sell my house next year, so I guess it will be just easier to find someone else to repair the roof and repair the interior of the house myself vs. waiting on court, depositions, trials, etc. yada yada yada. I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!!!

In addition, drip edge was totally omitted from the house and this issue has already been resolved though water still comes into the house. There were many short cuts (such as 2 story gutter downspout not being strapped in place), and so much more damage by this roofer, I don't even want to think about it. Reidling's crew on this property were not Mexican labor - they were young men who were on probation. Nearly $65,000 my insurance paid for total repair... Still leaks.

The damage by the contractor was: Damaged an old, brick chimney by owner's crew kicking it as well as kicking the plywood decking into place when it wasn't cut correctly. They also beat the hell out of 100 year old bricks with hammers installing flashing around the chimney (which wasn't nailed down nor sealed in any way...took a few return trips to caulk this as well as attach the surrounding shingles) they also used the slate top of the chimney as a table for their tools, stereo, food & drink

@mattemma06 My roof STILL leaks. I'm tired of fighting it. They claim that the roof doesn't leak despite pictures and video of water pouring into the house. The only road left to take, is to file a claim against their insurance company and then continue fighting it. it's just not worth it any more, I will hire someone I trust to do the job. Never use this company!

you are not alone take heart we are discovering an underground,group that slaps off to each other(,state,farm )insurance,and( All-state) insurance,are giving the clams adjuster,jobs,they get a bunch of uneducated Hispanics to do the work, while they traumatize the home owner with cruel,crazy,comments to distract from getting a drip,edge,and not notice if the ice Gard is installed,and the proper,flashing,inspection should happen just before the roof tiles go down,

How did things work out for you? Our roof leaked 4 months after install,and now again 2 years later.Roofers solution was to put silicone all over the place.
