At first I tried using a Digitrax SDH164D but it was DOA. Then I decided that since I put a lot of time in this locomotive, I might as well go all out and then installed a Soundtraxx Tsunami TSU-1000. The sound just exploded. The only downside is that the BNSF SD40-2 #7835 is too light to pull all the stack cars that I have, on the curves it was spinning out. To fix the traction issue, I'll add some weight and hopefully be able to pull more stack cars.
Another issue related to the traction issue is that 9 stack cars are die cast metal and are heavier as compared to the plastic 5 unit Maxi-III well cars at the end of the drag. But what the hey it looks cool.

  • I'm getting around to mixing plastic Athearn husky stacks and die cast Walthers husky stacks. The BNSF looks and sounds good.
