My daughter has Spina Bifida with a VP Shunt and like most we didnt know much about it. She today, is a healthy beautiful 2 year old <3 We wouldnt change her for the world. I hope she can have the great attitudes that a lot of people we have come across with SB.

im 15 a sophmore in highschool and i have spina bifida but im lucky i dont need a shunt. and i also walk but not straight but i dont use a wheelchair

Hi I am 32 years old i was born with Spina Bifida & Lipoma Lumbar ,I still have nt got any problem while walking but I have not much sense some times my toe mails get hurt but i cant feel it cause me to much problem and take quite while to get heel thats why I take extra care .HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER TAKE CARE

my best friends daughter just died a day ago at the age of 14. she had spina bifida and never learned to walk or talk. she also had hydrocephalus and a shunt. the shunt got completely infected a few moths ago and they had to reroute it and it was a major mess. she's been in hospital for months. unfortunately she never really recuperated and died. it's a fucking shame!!! My Nice had Spina Bifida (13\3\02) i was a kid when she was born ,she was in the hospital for weeks and she died the following month when she was born :( Rip Chloe

my son went through this same thing. he had spina bifida and hydrochephalus and was operated on within 12 hours of birth. he spent 3 weeks in the hospital because of a shunt malfunction. i found out he had sb when i was 4 months pregnant. i went through this all by myself as a single mom. my son just turned 1. he is simply amazing!
