Absolutely excellent! It's one of my favourite songs and you do it proud. I'm forbidden to play it (or request it) in my wife's presence but if she's not around the next time I see you live, I'm going to beg for it.

Oh man, that was so brilliant! Your voice has such a rich timbre. I think Stan would be pleased. Whenever I perform this song, I have to run it several times to dry all the tears out of me, just so I don't start crying in the middle of it.

One of my favorite songs. I find it hard to listen to because it is so sad, but it's especially important to remember these people during the holidays. Lovely voice, Stan would be proud :)

This song and especially the songsmith, always get me…right here.
If you're given to solemn moments at this time of year, consider this: How it testifies to your contribution in this world if...after almost 30 years, when you perished on a foreign runway, in a burning commercial jet airplane while saving other people's lives...taking them to safety; that a young man who wasn't even born at the time, does such a wonderful turn singing one of your most heartrending songs.
If you're not, sobeit

Beautifully done, Jesse. You have a fine voice that suits this, one of my favorite songs from Stan, so very well. It's so good to see songs like this living on. That, after all, is what "folk" is all about.

It's that time of year ago and this should always be there to balance the other "jolly" songs of the season. I really like your version and I'm astounded how like Stan you sound at points.

I think that Stan would like this. Very well done.

hey, dude, would you mind putting lyrics on your vids? that would be nice. TY for taking the time to read this

This is the most touching song I've ever heard. You sing it beautifully. It makes me want my last Christmas back so much... Thank you. This is truly lovely.
There have been a lot of leavings in my family this year. A brother to Iraq, a mother to jail, and a grandmother to the nursing home. In that perfectly well-done, way, this one hit really close to the heart, even in July. Thank you, Jesse.
