Actually, it does mean "Holy War" depending on how you interpret it. Ask a moderate Imam, he will say "Internal struggle", ask a violent Imam and he will expand that to be "Holy war against all Infidels who would defile the religion (Islam)"

You're a dolt for blindly referring to a literal translation, which has been the reason for the West's misunderstandings of Arab culture and beliefs, and desire for democracy (which they don't really have)

If you look at the history of U.S. foreign policy, you can easily see why there are those who hate Americans because of the conflict that our government has been causing in the Middle East. That doesn't justify terrorism, I'm just saying that while the American people are not responsible, the government's foreign policy has pissed some people off. Besides, 911 was in inside job.
