To all who think videogame music can't be "music," I submit to you this gorgeous melody by composer Nobuo Uematsu.

I've never actually played the game Final Fantasy X, from which this song originates. A friend requested this song be performed as part of a medley played at his wedding last summer, and folks really liked it so I'm putting this part up on the web.

You'll notice that this is not in ragtime. I know, I'm shocked too. It's not that I couldn't play it in ragtime, I just feel like it works better as music played like this. Actually, this is my first non-ragtime performance on YouTube. Frankly I feel kinda naked in my musical skivvies here without my syncopation, but hey... life is short :D

Well this was certainly a surprise to see a piece from one of my favorite Video Games. :) Beautiful work. I hope to see more tracks like this in the future. Perhaps the FFX Battle Theme?
