@harhargorilla try going to the Levels tab next to Listen. make sure that the microphone boost isnt on too high. if that doesn't work, then I'm guessing their is a problem with your microphone jack.

hey man can you help me out? every time i try to do this the audio that comes out over the speakers is really grainy and just god awful quality. i know its not my cord because i tried 2 different ones and got the same result.
