He said it himself - he's just psyched out. I've been there. It's impossible to drop in w/ fear & hesitation. Better to just come back another day, skate around til you're loose & feel solid, then go for it w/out pausing to think. When you do, lean in HARD! Give your upper body a little head start, then stomp that nose down HARD & FAST! Also, no one ever mentions it, but I found it helpful to think about unweighting my back foot eeeever so slightly.
