UPDATED! Purplera1n RC2 TUTORIAL iPhone 3GS Jailbreak and Unlock Step by Step for 3.0

UPDATE PLEASE READ BEFORE JAILBREAKING!
Geohotz has just released purplera1n RC2, (http://purplera1n.com/) this is an updated version of purplera1n that fixes many bugs and errors. It also gives compatibility for Vista, Windows 7, International, 64-bit support. A Mac version has been released. Winterboard still DOES NOT work so please don't install it. If you installed the first version of purplera1n and is experiencing issues (wifi, errors, cydia issues) then you would want to run purplera1n RC2 on your iphone or if that still doesn't help then you should restore your iphone and install 3.0 firmware from apple and run purplera1n RC2 from a windows PC. For users without jailbreak and want to jailbreak for the first time, just follow my tutorial and it will work the same exact way. Purplera1n RC1 has been replaced with RC2 so you will be installing with the new version. These tools are still in beta so use with caution and remember to back up your phone.
