    cheers

  • im not sure about that version.

Search some of the on line pedal forums such as freestompboxes or diy stompboxes.

You will find answers there. Good luck!

  • Hey! Love your videos. Was wondering was it resistor 7 and 42 you changed out and is that a Version 4 Small Stone? Trying to get rid of the volume drop myself but R42 is like 1M, which struck me as odd.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • @melindagreenjeans Yeah but the Nano Small Stone has some very flat, metallic and cold tones on some settings...

  • @blondegraemey Hi! I have the volume drop issue on my USA reissue Small Stone, can you tell me what resistors you changed? ALL the websites about this mod explain how to do it on a Issue J Small Stone (V2) and the schematics are not the same at all!

  • Mine is obviously even a bit older, must have been made around 1974. And it's a keeper! Because it sounds just gorgeous, no need to hide behind the MXR Phase 90 Script logo reissue.

  • how much did you buy the 78' for? Thank you for doing this, awesome vid

  • MMmhh you could play the newere a little more. What do you think are they really that different?

  • @andy92811 Totally worth it! Like most of the effects to come about in the digital age, they lay on top of your tone instead of grabbing hold of it and bending it to their will. I really like my US Version 3, but really liked the sound of the Soviet Version 1 as well.

  • The new ones have a metallic sound to them. I do love the vintage one, and may consider picking it up one day.

  • @ivaneu I agree. I was reading comments and then I noticed the sound wasn't muddy and muffled. It was clearer and had more presence. I checked the picture and it has the LED. I like the new one.

  • Like the newer one. Rate control works better, sounds clearer, LED, True Bypass, why bother with the old. Should have put a regular 2.1mm DC jack on it to be perfect. I just bought another Nano Small Stone. It has all of the above and it's the right size as well.
