Emma delivers a holiday greeting to Governor Walker

December 2, 2011. The people of Wisconsin deliver holiday messages to the governor during the annual tree lighting ceremony in the capitol. (This event is traditionally held at noon, but this year the governor scheduled the ceremony for 8:00 a.m. due to a "conflict in his schedule".)

@bluesingincat And when she starts treating her parents the same way, how I wish I could be a fly on the wall to witness their shock and dismay at what a self centered, hateful and rude child they raised.

@bluesingincat She is thirteen and knew exactly what she was doing and what she was doing it for. I wish more teenagers were politically aware. I'm 64 and I first took an interest when I was maybe seven during the Eisenhower years. There was a real President who would have condemned the actions of Republicans of today.

@bluesingincat A thirteen-year old getting involved in this way is wonderful! God knows, most kids at that age couldn't care any less about politics and that's plain wrong. If more kids kew more about the political system and less about Justin Beiber we'd all be a lot better for it.
