    A história da Dona Beija me lembra o filme "Malena" do diretor italiano Giuseppe Tornatore.

    A História é a mesma. Uma jovem mulher escandalosamente bela (Maitê Proença/Monica Bellucci) causa luxúria nos homens e despeito nas mulheres num ambiente rural e moralista (Minas Gerais/Sicília) numa época remota.

    Essas mulheres sofrem por sua beleza e feminilidade e acabam se vingando justamente usando esses atributos femininos ao limite, chegando inclusive a prostituição.
