Occupy Wall Street: a real-time tribute to the nearly 2,000 patriots occupying the streets surrounding Wall Street in Manhattan this evening, September 17th, 2011.

Inspired by the same, particularly the chanting. Unless someone can better explain it, because there is no "leader" of the protest, there's a psuedo-democratic process [and by "psuedo-democratic process", I mean "a process that certainly seems more closely related to a true democratic republic than the USA"] by which "the floor" (or bullhorn) is yielded to an individual who then makes a proposal (by means of said bullhorn), pausing after each short phrase so that the immediate crowd can "chant" back that phrase. Like a crowdsourced P/A (or wi-fi repeater, or whatever), they broadcast each segment to even the remotest fringes of the crowd of 2,000.

Mixed in quotes, seasoned beyond taste with guitar, served on yt -- in support of every last one of those Occupying Wall Streets--in NYC, across US, and throughout the world.

  • this died down pretty quick...I thought you all were ready to camp for months? RT reports your numbers are down to mere hundreds?!?! The american revolution dwindled away within days??

  • @Smokie181 The protest/message (and its resulting efficacy) is an endurance game, not a sprint. As they say, "size isn't [always] everything" ;-) ... Be careful too not to neglect the groups gathering to protest/camp out in cities and universities across the nation. In each group, our ranks our growing healthily. But most important: THE OCCUPATION HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN

  • @Rorschach65 I want you to know that I sincerely consider this comment an honor coming from a guy whose two most recent favorites are ?v=ycnPbp_CrVg and ?v=EjT5SA9WrY4 , and I very much value and thank you for your opinion.

  • occupy wall st is a joke, these people don't realize their being used ,and it doesn't help that communist and socialist are down there trying to co opt people into their system!

  • fuck em

  • their just a bunch of hippys

  • i am glad that the people are waking up, but please leave out the music.....or throw in something from woody guthrie........otherwise good job

  • I note at Fatima 1917-the faithful said daily rosaries-the Police stamped the groound with horses to remove the people but were later defeated by the large crowd saying their rosaries. The Police were thrown off their horses force to back down. The children were arrested. The people said a Vigil of rosaries-the children were free. The Government toppled-the Economy recovered-Money flow-Industries flourish. At Lourdes the Government put up a fence at grotto. The fence came down through the Rosaries.

  • I NOTE THAT THEY WERE MEDITATING AT WALL STREET I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DONT SAY A ROSARY VIGIL OUTSIDE WALL STREET-WHITE HOUSE-PENTAGON-CONGRESS-FEDERA¬L RESERVE BUILDING WASHINGTON DC & CHASE MANHATTEN BANK & CITI-BANK NEW YORK.THERE SHOULD BE ROSARY VIGIL OUTSIDE YOUR GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS BECAUSE IT IS THIS POWER THAT IS BANKRUPTING AMERICANS.

IT NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE BUT AS A EXPERIMENT FOR ONE MONTH IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE THE RESULTS AFTER 30 DAY ROSARY VIGIL EXPERIMENT.
