He said that he wished he was drug free. Regardless, he is one of the best performers out there. Went to his show in DC and I would have paid 3 times what I paid to see him. The show was that great. If you meet him in person, he seems pretty "normal".

If anybody needs to release a live album, it's Bilal. I saw him back in 2001 before the first album dropped at Radio City Music Hall. Originally it was supposed to be Badu and Musiq and at first I was hot. By the time he did "Can't Hide Love" (Earth Wind & Fire cover), I completely forgot about Musiq and would have gone home happy then.
