The heavy damage assult rifle slaugteres those little pustules on the hive minds face when it picks you up, you dont even have to aim, but only if its fully upgraded.

What I was doing here was going for the Epic Tier 3 Engineer Trophy (beat the game on Impossible Mode) and the One Gun Trophy (beat the game with only the Plasma Cutter) at the same time. That's the only reason I was using the Plasma Cutter here, but you're right, from my experience (I've completed the game 3 times) the Pulse Rifle is the best to use here.

Yeah, it kinda messed with me the first time too because I was totally not expecting that. And it's not just any necros either, but it's those fat pregnant ones that bust open with all the little ones if you shoot them wrong :)
