In London some years ago they lifted a legally parked car so they could paint double yellow lines where it was parked. Once the lines were painted the car was put back and a traffic warden then issued a ticket! Hitler's Gestapo were amateurs compared to the scum that we have to endure.

@jasquer They do tow cars in the Unites States, BUT never in this manner where they use a small crane to LIFT the vehicle completely off the road!

This is in an area between two major tourist spots and the car was parked illegally, in a spot reserved for official use. However instead of getting a ticket, they just picked up the car and took it away! We were on our tourist bus, which are allowed in this area, but no private vehicles.
