Rawstory.com: ABC's Brian Ross investigated a controversy surrounding Sarah Palin asking about books being removed from the Wasilla library. Rev. Howard Bess a pastor at a local church. Hess said, "She wasn't just using the religious right to get elected. She was one of them."

Ross' investigation uncovered video of a recent sermon at the church Palin attended in Wasilla. The current pastor said, "Everybody in the world has a guilty conscious. That's why homosexuals want laws of the land to justify their sickness. They have a guilty conscious."

  • Take them all out if you want and shut the place down and save tax dollars, who cares? If you want to read something. download or purchase it from from Amazon. Duh. Who uses the library anymore anyway?

  • @unelmitchell you need to look for the truth instead of believing lies.I guess some will believe. Those tea people and republicans sure did pretty good earlier this month. If you are worried about Nazi Germany you need to look at the Obama Administration. I wonder will they put Mao on their christmas tree this year.

  • @timpipe This was proven a lie. Go look it up this was crap that was put out in 2008 It has been proven false.

  • Judy Patrick's point that the idea of banning books was rhetorical is moot and frankly stupid. What if Plain had asked the librarian to ban Eskimos from the library, and the librarian's response was "absolutely not" and firing her essentially on the basis that she would not "get on board" with Palin. What sort of power trip is she on when she feels she has to fire the town librarian? This is a window into her character or lack thereof. Authoritarian and Theocratic.

  • @sandroeleven If by "protection," you mean "censorship."

The American Library Association does not censor books. Period. Freedom of print is enshrined in your country's beloved Constitution, and no person, whether they be average citizen, politician, or church, has the right to impose censorship upon a library. If people want to read certain material, then that's their choice: no one, not even the ALA itself, can tell them not to.

  • palin is pathetic.

  • these teabaggers & Republicans who supports palin really need to look at the truth about how dangerous this new conservative ideology really is. its just like Nazi germany. thats the very same thing that have happened in germany back in the 1930's. they have started with the books, then work there way to the people. People open your eyes the GOP isn't right for this country or any country !!!

  • @tallyhoman911 I do believe it's phrased, "an idiot" not "a idiot". Idiot.

  • @littlebokiddle barrak obama is a idiot anarchy FTW!

  • Everyone in the world has a guilty conscience, that's why the radical right wing turns to fascism and banning books, by attacking others they justify their sickness...they have a guilty conscience.
