Μοναχός Παίσιος

Μη ελληνόφωνοι , ορθόδοξοι αλλά και άλλων δογμάτων , μου έχουν ζητήσει να μεταφραστεί το παρόν video στα Αγγλικά . Οποιος θέλει και έχει την όρεξη ας το μεταφράσει στα Αγγλικά προς πνευματική των ωφέλεια . Μπορεί να το μεταφράσει σχολιάζοντας το και εγώ εν καιρώ θα βάλλω τη μετάφραση σε υπότιτλους στο video ..νομίζω ότι είναι υποχρέωση μας να μεταλαμπαδεύουμε τα θεόπνευστα λόγια του γέροντα αυτού στα αδέλφια μας , οπως επραξαν οι Μεθόδιος Και Κύριλλος που εκχριστιάνησαν την σημερινή ορθόδοξη ανατολή .

Man 2: ..and He does not send the illness to us, noticing that we cannot endure it. Yet be careful, for if He sees we can endure it, He sends it. What I mean to say is that, if we want God to take notice of our prayer, that is the spirit we must show." And the elder monk himself showed such spirit 1000%. And my friend was healed, has 2 children, still lives and breathes in good health. Of course, it wasn't my prayer, but the elder's prayers which saved him."

Man 2: "You take 50%, me the other 50% and your friend will be healed." I was stupefied. He said: "All right, you will take 1% and me 99%. Agreed?" I thought this was easier and accepted. Then I asked "what is going to happen? shall we become sick with cancer?" He laughed. "If we want God to materialize our prayers, we must show a spirit of self-sacrifice, ask God to heal the other and send the illness to us. God, who is aware of our weakness, gets touched by our spirit, so he heals the other "

Man: Sometimes the visitor himself returned and had forgotten, but the elder monk never did, and asked about the progress of the situation.

Man 2: Once a good friend suffered from cancer. So, I went to Paisios and said so. He asked: "What is it that you want?" I answered "I would like you to heal him." He asked: "So what do you want us to heal? the body or the soul?" After some thought, I answered "both". He laughed and said: "OK, do you agree to split this?"

Man: ...This is right, of course, but we are talking here about a perfect person, who had received God's Grace, who livedwithin God's presence, and felt how insignificant he was as to God's greatness. He considered all the people as brothers, as his children, as very close relatives. He suffered for everybody's problems. Whoever went to him and entrusted him their problems, the elder monk had concern, and never forgot.

Man:...While visiting frequently [elder Paisios] on Mount Athos, I realized that he was a humble, sincere and inartificial man, all kindness and love, interested in everybody, taking over the problems of others as if they were his own. He did not worry about his own problems, difficulties and needs, did not take care at all of himself.

Journalist: He did not take care of himself.

Man: No, he didn't. He believed he shouldn't. He said "Who am I to ask something for me?"
