Here is the mighty memorymoog, this one has just been sold so this is the last noodling for me. This one is the actual one featured in Peter Forrest's A-Z of Synthesizer Technology books, I have owned it for 6 years and it's been perfect throughout, tuning all 6 voices every time - sad to see it go so here is it's swan-song.

  • You know... Moog would have sold a whole lot more of these if you had played this demo back in 1983. Maybe the DX7 wouldn't have become such a big deal.

  • @nocturn07, thanks for your comments... I'm not that great a player and wasn't trying too hard here... this synth does make you play in a certain way, it has that big 80's Rock sound to it.

  • Too bad you can't put a Multimoog or Minimoog Voyager on top of this beast.

  • @ClassicTVMan81, you can with the appropriate stand... I had both of those synths!

  • this video was anything but pointless

  • Memorymoog is the Memorymoog. I wish they reissued it as Memorymoog Voyager or something. The Voyager XL is nice, but still monophonic. We want the Memorymoog!

  • How did you get that pseudo-vocal patch?

  • Great playing Mal!! I love the sound of that thing...so bitey...so Moog.

  • MOOG BEATS ANY OTHER SYNTHS!!!!! so much more dynamic ^_^ love your synth. i love my Minimoog Voyager XL :D

  • Awsome!!!

  • Thank you for this incredible vid. It seems no one else has a clue what to do with a Memorymoog. I want one so bad, or one of those other vintage analogs being named here. I do have an Arturia Origin, as well as a Virus C and Radias, so I'm not exactly doing without. But those Moogs and Obies have that wonderful control panel you can play with endlessly, for infinite sound variations. LONG LIVE ANALOG!

  • my imagination was on point; i always thought the memorymoog could make that lead sound in the beginning of this vid

  • Great Demo, thanks !!!!
