yes it does, you have to go to a four year school and get a "professional pilot" degree and gi bill covers it.

@chestateegold HAHAHAHAHAH Yea right the G.I. bill pays for flight training? I'm in the service non pilot but a civilian commercial pilot. Apparently the post 9/11 covers up to 10,000. Thats not for a while and I'll believe it when I see it!

man there are alot of people bitching..... gi bill pays for flight school as i last recall. free ifr and commercial. then it is just climbing teh ranks through to a major airliner. stick with it and everything will pay off. live with your mom for the first few years or someting lol

You're the iqnoramous here, dude. Have you flown domestically in the last few years? Most of Delta and United's domestic fleet is flown by regionals. Most of the people fly regionals have ZERO (0) military experience. They are the ones that pay the exorbitant amount for flight training. Blah, blah blah...Why don't you talk without the use of profanity. Everybody bitches about QOL, but they seem to have forgotten the roots of the industry, there was no quality. Dude, when I can go out to an airplane and actually talk to a pilot that has just a 1% inclination for the mechanics of how the equipment works, then, and only then, will I have a look at the new batch coming out with the same respect that I do for pilots from yesteryear. I will remember these comments next time I defer an autopilot. Simple request, learn your systems and component location. I'm talking about the guys that play the "what if" game. People who are afraid of their own shadow.

I would be very interested to hear what your profession is. I like my fellow employees have worked too damn hard for the ignorance of people like you to verbally bash us. And, just because our modern-day aircraft are far more advanced than the aircraft that required 3 crew members doesn't mean we just kick back and smoke the bong all day.
