This is a brief look into the September 2009 field efforts of NOAA's marine debris removal squad. Places visited include Maro Reef, Laysan Island, Lisianski Island, Kure Atoll, and Pearl and Hermes Atoll, all of which are small uninhabited islands in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands National Marine Monument.
