Although I enjoyed his presentation I'm not too sure what he is on about because the Scrabble set I have has a printed set of rules, and at least half of what he suggests breaches them. (my Scrabble set is over thirty years old)

Using this tactic doesn't mean you are bad at Scrabble because there's no reason why you can't both memorize word lists AND wage psychological warfare against your opponent! Be the best player you can be, or something. Personally, I think playing against Mehal would be hilarious and you'd learn a lot, if you're not the type to take yourself so seriously.

This isn't cheating at all. Most of you don't seem to have watched the video. You have to do more than read the misleading title before condemning it.
