  • Thank you for putting this wonderful tribute to Peter Revson together. He was truly an American talent who left us far too soon.

    Video very nicely done. Thanks.

  • I loved Peter Revson. He was a great racer and would have gone on to greater things.

  • I love his helmet design!

  • @lfulhorst you're right the white porshe 908 #48 was far less powerful and made the race all the more exciting as they almost won it! steve mcqueen kept that car and was part of his estate sale after he passed. revson and mcqueen were a fantastic pilot combo.

  • @girlishfun Peter was driving a 3 litre Porsche 908 that had a lot less power that Mario's 5 litre Ferrari. Peter's skill had the car in front of a lot of faster cars.

  • shadow really had a few tough years at kyalami first this then the tom pryce accident

  • I will never forget him

  • alot of great racing heroes left very early, what would it have been if they all could race each other

  • Thank you! I casually knew Peter and if anything, he was my hero! What a wonderful guy... :-)

  • Became a fan of F1 from 1981 so wasn't familiar with the 70's era apart from the big names. Saw a documentary this week on Peter and I've got to say I feel a sadness for the loss of someone special. I don't know how fast he was or how many more races he would have won had he not left too soon. But listening to him being interviewed reminds me that we have far too few drivers today with something genuinely interesting and thoughtful to say. Class tribute for a class act.

  • Watched him race the Porche 917 with Steve McQueen at Sebring. Andretti came from behind with a stunning drive in the Ferrari 512 to just barely win. Otherwise Revson/McQueen would have won overall but still won in class. Beautiful tribute.
