Alina Kozich UKR
2004 Olympics, team final - floor exercise
9.65 (112.309 4th)

The 2004 European all-around champion on floor. This is my favourite Kozich routine. I love this type of choreography, the music choice was great in my opinion and good tumbling helps, too.

  • Happy birthday Alina! Dec. 16th

  • @bernardmvella Kozich did have a big step on her second tumbling pass..but the difficulty of that pass was far more difficult because its a combination pass and connecting two hard elements..Khorkina and Patterson I feel scored great on floor while Pavlova should have gotten a great score on floor because of her stuck landings, great choreo,.Patterson had not a single bit of great choreo, and she didn't stick all her landings but got a 9.712 to pavs 9.650 so lol..yeah the scoring was crazy.

  • @LCAmarkymark Yup, what's ridiculous is they all had at least equally difficult and well executed tumbling, but they all had much better choreo and artistry at the same time. Didn't Alina Kozich score more than Carly and Svetlana in the team final if you took those scores as the AA ones?

  • @bernardmvella yep I feel the same way..beam was fine but who ever was scoring on floor and vault in Athens was terrible lol...Cheng Fei hands down had the toughest floor routine..followed by Kozich and Pavlova..IMO I think its very hard to intertwine great dynamic variety filled tumbling with wonderful dance..I believe these three at least did better than Ponor and Patterson on floor.

  • @LCAmarkymark Ponor and Patterson were overscored on floor (but both were scored correctly on beam IMO) these olympics though. How Ponor qualified higher than Cheng Fei blows my mind (I love her but her floor wasn't THAT good.)

  • @bernardmvella I guess when you compare it to Patterson's scores it seems underscored..I mean this routine was very difficult during these olympics..and the artistry was way better than Patterson or Ponor.

  • This was about what Cheng Fei scored in qualification and that was 2nd after Ponor so I wouldn't say underscored....

  • I wish she walked away with a medal on these Olympics :(

  • @Dancing24 I do too lol..can't get enough of it...should have been scored at least a 9.8

  • love this routine so much
