Album: SAHIB'S JAZZ PARTY Tune: Conversations Part III [1963] Sahib Shihab(ss) Alan botschinsky(flh) Ole Molin(g) Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen(b) Alex Riel(ds) Bjarne Rostvold(ds)
One of the most exciting amazing thing I've ever heard. Can't believe how incredible Shihabs solo is - overwhelming - and how great the drummer is - he's astonishing especially how he interacts perfectly with Shihab. I thought it was Ed Blackwell at first. Can't believe how incredible these European white guys sound. The tune made me think of the exciting 'La Nevada' from Gil Evans' Out of the Blue wJColes & Elvin Jones that everyone thought was incredible. But this tune is more breathtaking.
