After a damning undercover investigation found 10/10 homeopaths giving murderously stupid advice on malaria prevention, spokesperson Melanie Oxley performs bonkersly on Newsnight. She deteriorates towards the end.

Watch the undercover footage here.

  • thumbs up if you HATE the new age movment and all its bullshit

  • The bottom line is that homeopathic "remedies" are water. They have no active ingredient, and in most cases not even one molecule of the substance that's supposed to treat the malady. It's quackery of the highest order. There's no reason at all to take it seriously.

  • Homeopathy cures only one condition - mild thirst.

  • What's the point of her being a spokeswoman if she represents no one but herself and her own homoeopathic practice?

  • It's at best a placebo, at worst it's exploitation.

  • @trekstein People like you blow my mind.

  • @trekstein Talking about quantum physics in an argument about homeopathy is pulling at straws. No experiment has shown a relationship between quantum theory and homeopathic "therapy". In fact, there is a law in chemistry that states that there is a maximum number of dilutions before the original chemical ceases to exists. This is in the 24X potency range of homeopathy. Funny, then, that 30X+ remedies are commonly sold. That's nothing but water.

  • @trekstein You're comparing Quantum Physics to how diluted ingredients interact with the body. You seriously think doctors and THOUSANDS of qualified academics are dismissing Homoeopathy for no good reason? They have plenty of reason to doubt, if homoeopathy is demonstrated to be real, then it would have already been researched, tested and sold for mega-bucks to high ranking hospitals, but it hasn't

  • That is NOT squirming. She expresses herself well. The discoveries made within quantum physics over the past 110 years indicate that energy performs in very strange ways at the quantum level. The suggestion that homoeopathic remedies interact with the body in ways which differ greatly from conventional medicine is not far fetched. Investigators would serve people better by demostrating the damage that chemical medicines do, theie inefficacy, their side effects etc.

  • @dubiumguy In a court of law?

  • @zthetha Personal testimony is not acceptable as credible evidence.

  • The pharmaceutical industry ranks alongside the military industrial complex in terms of influence, power and corruption. There are safe, efficacious so called 'alternative' treatments for malaria and most other conditions - if not all. Drug companies are prepared to kill - and do - to keep their sick monopoly. Homeopathy - in my experience - works remarkably well.
