President Richard Nixon calls John Chancellor of NBC to thank him for his "Day in the Life of the President" TV show. They also discuss the India-Pakistan conflict and problems in the Middle East. Nixon specifically talks about women as leaders (including people like Indira Gandhi and Golda Meir).

Actually, rikilusifer, Nixon was never impeached--he resigned before Congress could formally impeach him. Andrew Johnson in the 1860s was the first US president to be impeached.

A new nation from broken Pakistan, Bangladesh was born.

India and Soviet Union immediately recognized Bangladesh the very next day.

The USA and China adopted a UN resolution calling for the creation of Bangladesh as Illegal

Britain and France supported that resolution.

The resolution was about to be passed when the SOVIET UNION came to our rescue.

Regarding China,when the 1971 war had begun. Indira Gandhi had the Chinese Ambassador summoned to her home and Indira Gandhi told the chinese bluntly

"You know we have not forgotten 1965.But we want to play fair ball with you. You stay out our Internal India - Pakistan war and we are happy.

But if you interfere and help Pakistan or supply arms or manpower to Pakistan, then we will reply with a vengeance that will include the 1965 memory"
