This video walks you through all the steps from the very beginning to enjoy just about any internet video that you'd want to watch with subtitles.
Step 1:
Download and install Nalsoft Subtitles player.
Step 2:
The Subtitles player must be playing a video in order to show the subtitles. For this purpose I made a 4 hour long AVI video that is made of nothing but a thin black image. Feel free to download that here. It's a little over 14mb.

Step 3:
Find an Internet video you want to watch.
Step 4:
Find the matching subtitles to the video. They can be found in many websites. For movies try opensubtitles.org or Subscene.com. For TV shows try TVsubtites.net
Step 5:
Open the subtitles file with the Subtitle player. So the player is now playing the subtitles file and the videoback.avi file.
Step 6:
Line the timing of the subtitles player with the Internet video.
Enjoy!!!

Thanks for this - it's great! However, can you please explain how to make the 4 hour avi video of a black image or where to find a link that explains how to do/find it. It's the only step I'm stuck on. Thanks again.
