Hiked Beacon Rock on Feb 7th 2009. Beacon Rock is in the Columbia Gorge and has a man-made trail that took 3 years to build. The trail is 1 mile one way.

He didn't fall at 60 feet, he fell 60 feet from top!

My 20 year old son fell off this rock yesterday afternoon at approximately 60 feet or so and sustained multiple fractures, several to the skull, nearly shattered pelvis area, femur, broken ankle, arms, hands, knee, severely bruised internally and loss of blood. LIfe flighted to hospital where he remains in ICU, stable condition - many operations to come but thankful he's still alive! BE CAREFUL!

What is the great music selection?
This is a wonderful, short hike with huge views, 40 minutes from Portland.
