Metaphysically the discussion regarding what exists and what does not exist is misunderstood by the metaphysicists themselves.

Metaphysicists perceive 'what does not exist' as a form of fantasy, a form of illusion a non-reality and thus not worthy of our attention. But to deny the existence of non-existence is a paradox which becomes resolved when one identifies various aspects of non-existence such as: the void, potentiality, the not as yet created by the artist, ...

  • @ViceroyOfYahweh anything of the material world that is. If you are saying that in the end our consciousness will turn to nothing that means information has been lost and physics say thats IMPOSSIBLE. If information can be lost then there is no way to predict the future or even prove the past existed.

  • Nothingness, Oblivion, the void is simply neutral, good nor bad - if a person's consciousness were to succumb to nothingness - you could neither pity nor envy their transcendance. I propose that to enter the void, and become non-life, perpetual unconsciousness would be the ultimate and perfect peace, one would cease to be... All the sorrow, pain & worry of life would be gently swept away, they would no longer have to think or feel and they could not see no more or perceive anything.

  • @TySlCer I agree. Every time the word 'non-existence' comes up it becomes existent.

But I think we just cannot escape from recognizing non-existence. So, for me, Nothingness, at best, is a non-dualistic combination of existence and non-existence, until there's no consciousness, space and time.

  • @MrAnimeking18 Agreed Ahh, but where there is non-existence, there is the existence of a void. So, given that thought, a void cannot be nothing_? -So- To call something nothing gives it a name, which makes it something. -So- True non-existence would be to not give "it" a name. As giving "it" a name labels it as something. -And- Even thinking of the thought of non-existence makes it exist. -So- Non-existence does not exist. Which cancels itself out. Non-existence is non-existent. (non-existenc
  • My brain hurts -_-

  • This may sound weird, but this is something that is really hard to explain and I'm going to try my best to explain this. Existence is a concept, not a verb, function, or anything. It's just a concept, like how infinity is. Infinity isn't a number, its a concept of never ending-ness. So since Existence is a concept of space-time, so is Non existence. Considering there is no place within our space-time area where there is void, non existence itself, isn't a concept that apply's to space-time.

  • Since when is being illogical not logical. Speaking of nothing is no more negation than speaking about something. I know a lot politicians that speak without logic but everyone believes them.

  • Even space-time is something though. How it is made or what it's composed of; I do not know. But the classical 'void' isn't really a void. True non-existence is has no space-time.

  • where is part 2?

  • Non-existence, void, not a vacuum, illusion.

CBR is not remnant of a Big Bang event but is real exponential complex interference pattern radiance that forms the illusion of solid existence.
