Stavolta, in italiano. Perchè lui era nato in Italia, Reggio Emilia.

Serge Reggiani (May 2, 1922, Italy, Reggio Emilia - July 23, 2004, France, Paris): a multifaceted ARTIST (actor, singer, painter, sculptor, writer), born in Italy (Reggio Emilia); left Italy at the age of 8, with his parents, and settled in France, first at Yvetot (1930), then moved to Paris, in 1931. Made his debut as an actor, in 1942, in the play ''Les parents terribles'', by Jean Cocteau. Throughout his career, he appeared in more than 70 films, playing along with Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, Romy Schneider, Jean-Paul Belmondo and many others. His career as a singer began quite late, in 1964, at the age of 42, and was the result of a first important musical appointment, with Jacques Canetti. His first album, ''Serge Reggiani chante Boris Vian'', issued in 1964, won the ''Prix de l'Academie Charles Cros'', the next year. The second important musical appointment was that with Georges Moustaki, who wrote for Reggiani some of his best-known songs: ''Madame Nostalgie'', ''Sarah'', ''Ma liberte' '', ''Ma solitude'', ''Votre fille a vingt ans'', ''Ce soir, mon amour'', ''Les amours sans importance''. He recorded 13 original albums of music (the last one, in 1984), and other 7 albums, published until 2000.
An artist who loved poets, such as: Baudelaire, Verlaine, Villon, Apollinaire, Hugo, Rimbaud, Boris Vian, Jacques Prevert (the latter being a close friend of his). So, no surprise he was the first to ever record an album of poetry (''Poetes 1'', in1973, followed by ''Poetes 2 & 3'', one year later, then ''Poetes 4'', in 1980).
Other important moments of his career(s) are:
1985 - ''Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur'';
1989 - the first exhibition of his paintings;
1995 - publication of ''Dernier courier avant la nuit'' (a mixture of confessions and tributes to the people who have marked or shared his life);
2002 - ''Prix special de la Sacem pour l'ensemble de sa carriere'';
2003 - ''Commandeur de l'Ordre National du Merite''.

So, finally, listen to Serge Re-genie, as I like calling him, since he really was a genius, in all the fields mentioned above. I hope you'll agree with me.

Serge Reggiani: Amor mio, figlio mio

Stasera sei con me,
Amore mio, figlio mio,
E piove sopra di noi,
Amore mio, figlio mio,
Come assomigli à lei,
Siam' rimasti noi due,
Inventiamo un bel gioco,
Siamo qui tutti e due,
Soli...

Stasera se rientrerà
Non lo so,
Non si sa,
Se lei mi scriverà
E dirà cosa fà...
E piove sul giardino,
Accenderò un bel fuoco,
Non son' triste, però
Siamo qui, tutti e due,
Soli...

Vorrei
Ricordare per te
L'avventura di un re,
Ma io non ho memoria ormai,
Non piangere...
Vorrei
Inventare per te,
Mi ricordo soltanto che
Ė la storia di un amore,
Ė la storia di un amore,
Sentirai,
Rimani qui...
Sư, resta qui...

Non so piư fare il fuoco,
Amore mio, figlio mio,
Valgo ormai così poco,
Amore mio, figlio mio,
Come assomigli à lei,
Siam' rimasti noi due,
Perduti tra le cose
Di questa grande casa,
Soli...

Gioccheremò alla guerra
E t'addormenterai,
Stasera se verrà
Non lo so,
Non lo sai...
L'inverno arriverà
E il fuoco spegnerà
E non ci resterà
Che giocar' tutti e due,
Soli...

Vorrei
Ricordare per te
L'avventura di un re,
Ma io non ho memoria ormai,
Non piangere...
Vorrei
Inventare per te,
Mi ricordo soltanto che
Ė la storia di un amore,
Di una guerra, di un dolore,
Ascoltammi, non tornerà,
No, non piangere...

  • @CACHABAS1

    Grazie mille per l'apprezzamento, amico mio. Sopratutto perche' Serge Reggiani e' il mio cantante preferito... Ricambio il saluto. Melania

Melania

  • @vnpei

    You're welcome. It really makes me a great pleasure to upload Serge Reggiani's songs, either in French or in Italian. He always conveyed a huge amount of deep feeling and personal commitment, irrespective of the language he resorted to. As if he had been singing with his heart...

    Thanks a lot for your kind comment. Melania

  • Grand merci, grazie a lei, thank you so much for this beautiful versione italiana. Still very touching!

  • @cozzzolino

    Baci ''reloaded'',

    Melania

  • Melania,

    proverbe malgache " les morts ne sont vraiment morts, lorsque les vivants les oublient"..Alors pour Sergio..rien à craindre..

    Baci+++
