Tin Soldiers and Wasted Life should be required listening for US Army grunts who are unfortunately fed on a diet of Goebbels-like propaganda and think that people actually respect them saying things like "Burn motherf**cker burn" as they wander through their newly acquired Texaco gas station known as Iraq...

Not sure how the thread started, but this was the first band I ever saw. And this WAS punk.

The bass is a Guild B302. I've got the six string with the same body shape (Guild S series).
And SLF are still going strong, go see them.
-
Its a TV studio audience, probably not fans
-
The audience is DEAD still appart from the two people at the front...

They sounded this great when they played last year ( 2008) in Sydney. Best gig I've ever seen. !
Are they touring? I would go and see them any day. And, no, I heard SLF by chance and have been a fan since. When I put on HANX my wife of 20-years became an instant fan.

Check the site for tour details ... (Cant post the url on here because it wont let you but just google 'Stiff Little Fingers' and it's the first site there! PS. Another great band from that era still touring are The Alarm. Well worth going to see.

Smartass. :-) The Alarm were an early 80's band. IMHO The Fingers were also at their peak around that time. So, valid point re 'era. Alright mush?

I first these guys in the early 80's and was blown away. Unfortunately, they were only together a few years. I'm confident, had they stayed together they would have rivaled The Clash. Also, listen to the live album 'HANX' you can get it on ebay on CD. It's one of the best 'live' albums I own.

Eh? They are STILL together today man. And sound bloody great live. As for Hanx, I bought it when it came out. As you say its fantastic. Up there with my other fav album The Stranglers 'X-Cert'.
