@voicetube PS thinking more about it, it was actually I think late 70s or very early 80s (81 maybe?) when I saw the WM at that stoplight in Burbank:-)

I recall a special day in (circa) 1986 -- Burbank, CA, I came to a stoplight on my little Honda motorcycle (I am almost sure it was on W. Olive Ave heading south - just past Warner Studios and I think at Lakeland Ave) and to my left - a guy in a Cadillac Seville... THE WOLFMAN himself!!!!!!!! OMG!!! (and that was years before "OMG" :-) I recall either sayin' hi and/or saying "Love your work!" - I recall that he waved or said howdy back - WM was a CLASSIC radio personality - The BEST!!!
