Mia Gets Busted

This is admitted a pretty boring video for anyone who isn't, well, me, but I'm uploading it anyway.

Lately, Mia will occasionally sniff around one of our kitchen cabinets and push it open with her nose. Considering that there's no food in there (or mice that we're aware of), there is seemingly no reason for her to be interested in the cabinet's contents.

I've been hoping to catch her in the act of climbing into the cabinet, and this is the closest I've gotten so far. As soon as she gets the door open, however, she notices that I've begun filming her.

Knowing that she's being watched, she slinks away from the crime scene and gives a few innocent meows.

Nice try, cat, but I'm on to your game!

7/9/2009 update: Sadly, Mia became terribly ill last night, and my wife and I were forced to put her to sleep today. When Mia passed, we were both present, and she was comforted until the end.

Mia was a friendly, beautiful cat whom we loved dearly. She will be forever missed.

Awe, I am sorry. Mia seems like a very sweet cat, she probably had a very good life. She's probably in heaven, opening cabinets with the other kittys. ^^
