Cardiac Screening for School childeren

On July 15th, 2011 Philips in collaboration with Manipal university Public Health dept & Dept of Cardiology KMC Manipal launched "Cardiac screening for school children" program at Olakadu School Udupi. Dr G.K. Prabhu Registrar Manipal university, Dr Ramachandra Bairy DHO Udupi Dist, Dr Nagendra Madyasta DDPI Udupi dist, Dr Ramachandra Kamath Public Health dept. Dr Ranjan Shetty, Manjunatha maiya of Philips and Ms. Nirmala of School were present. The program is very unique in nature since first time in Karnataka (in India) the screening using Echocardiography (Philips Envisor C HD) is happening outside hospital. This program not only benifit the children on Awareness on cardiac related ailment but also provides, early detection & early treatment for targeted children.
