my god,,i can see the force field the detector is putting out

just needed to turn the sensitivity up i run it until it starts making chatter and then turn it down slowly, i think your threshhold is still to loud...I never find flake without hedphones

Good headphones will deffinately make a difference.Also,did you ground balance before your tests?

Nice info! I've never owned a GB. Just by the sounds it makes on the high sens it sounds like a pain to use. Hope you find some nice nuggets. So far I've owned a minelab gold striker which is a older detector but a good one for back then. Now I own a Tesoro Lobo Supertraq. My opinion is, the best detector for a 1000.00 and under. I had a friend that had a GB and he found lots of small gold, very good machine. But with the KHZ up around 70 KHZ you lose the deeper bigger nuggets. We did a test.

been wanting a gold bug 2 for so long and now that gold is way up, i think im going to go thru with buying one. too bad there more than twice the price they were when i was looking.

yea sry i cant stand mine when its unstable either.. just a question isnt their a switch on the back of the box to turn down the gain? thats awsome....
-
do you still have the detector? Just wondering hows it go with it? I want to see more info on it to be honest. Any feed back would be cool, crank that sens up to 10...lol you might get 6 inches on those bad boys.. Im at 4.5 inches on my nugget about .5 to .75 of a gram. that detectors got the highest sens out. Whats the hi mineralization and low min. do depth wise? I bet if you had the sens up you would get a responce to the smaller nuggets.... Well let me know if you still go it..

@jessgo33
I tested it the other day inside by holding the flake in my hand. That doesn't work and was disappointed that it wouldn't pick it up from 1 1/2 inches. I did this test and it picks up even the small one a 3 inches. It's about as big as a match head but thin.
