I combined the 2 frame per second data from the security cams in our hackerspace with some music to make a time lapse view of the Dallas Makerspace 2010 Open House. The event ran noon to midnight, so you're getting 12 hours of action in a little under eight minutes. Unfortunately there was no security camera in the big warehouse where most of the cool stuff was going on. The music is Guitar Error by Spectral Hades (CC licensed BY-NC-SA). They have a lot other cool music. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/spectral.hades
No proprietary software was used in making this video; everything was done using software that preserves the user's software freedoms. Editing was done in Kdenlive 0.7.7.1 on Fedora 13 GNU/Linux. The GTK version of Avidemux 2.5.3 was used to alter the frame rate of the security cam video (without the need to resample, saving a generation).
