Tutorial demonstrating how to improve your video quality quite a bit with the use of video effects in Sony Vegas 8.0 Pro. This will work in other Sony Vegas versions, and similar methods can be used in other video editing software.

This is mainly for video games, but can be applied to most other types of videos.

  • how did you put the videos like that in the end plz respond

  • @bugsuly Sony vegas pan and crop works well.

  • It looks great and works well except for the brightness. I copied the exact settings for my MW2 video and it comes out really dark. Why is that?

  • Because this was made before MW2, so the setting wont be perfect for MW2.

  • trial :S

  • Ya I didn't crack it yet in the video. No reason to when I have 30 days before I have to.

  • The boosted video looks like it has a blue tint to it...I don't like that very much, do you know why that effect is there?

  • Also, where can I modify the video bitrate? I dont see it and cannot find it anywhere. Surely a proper rendering program like Vegas should have it.... My output file is about 1/3 the size of the original. My common sense tells me that if you cut out 2/3 of data, you're cutting out 2/3 the quality.

  • Question: Is there a way to force render 59FPS at 1920x1080? In the project properties if I have 1920x1080 selected and then select 59FPS on the next drop down below, the resolution drop down automatically reverts back to 1280x720. The highest frame rate I could select at 1920X1080 was 29. The original raw video in VLC player's codec statistics shows to be playing at 59FPS. I would like to keep that frame rate but still improve the picture quality as you suggested in the video.

  • cool. the result is a huge difference.

  • What did you Render it as?

  • Good job dude.

  • i can't find the video FX

  • in the corner it says sony vegas pro 8.0 TRAIL

  • @rabibwolverine Blur.. But that does not fit all videos that great.

  • does this work for sony vegas pro 10.0?
