Radical folk band Seize the Day and friends join the Faslane 365 Blockade of Britain's Nuclear missile base in Scotland. Volunteers 'lock-on' to each other in front of the gates as police try to prevent them. In between, the band play their popular song 'I Swear'.

...whistles, rocks on heels, stares into space, still waiting for the list of tangible results from this load of bollocks. And the outcome of all this was...?
And you havent answered the question. What did it actually achieve? Negligible disruption to Faslane, huge disruption to the increasingly resentful locals, ignored by local and national media, took cops away from fighting crime, a massive bill for the tax-payer (added to the total for Trident), ignored by Government. Er, thats it. But, hey, it made you feel better!
Nuclear weapons are surely an obscenity but that was an expensive, smug, self-indulgent WASTE OF TIME, wasnt it.
Well, what did all that smug middle-class self-indulgence actually achieve? Sorting the REAL problems is dirty, difficult and dangerous so let's go and camp out at Faslane! Let the police tackle the real issues in society, oh wait a minute, they're all busy at Faslane, er...
C'mon folks, help fix broken Britain first, hard though that is. I look forward to your tortured rationalisation for this nonsense.
i'm so sorry that you're faith in humanity is so low ... if we ever used a nuclear weapon it would be 10 times worse than 9/11 ... think the credit crunch is bad? 1 nuclear exchange anywhere in the world and every economy will be destroyed not to mention hundreds of thousands dead and slow deaths with cancer for the rest - so that is how i'll rationalise it you tory twaaaaaaat
Hmm, you started well but kind of blew it at the end. 'Tory twat'? I said I DON'T LIKE smug middle-class etc, oh never mind. Yes, nuclear weapons are a bad thing but they don't sell drugs to my kids or knife me in the street. Tackling the more immediate issues is dirty, difficult and dangerous. Let someone else do it! We'll go to Faslane and achieve fuck all, but at least we'll feel better! Meanwhile the country goes down the drain. Get out there and fix it instead of wasting everyone's time.
You should try a little civil disobedience sometime or have you got so little passion left that you roll over and let your government do whatever they like?
