Radical folk band Seize the Day and friends join the Faslane 365 Blockade of Britain's Nuclear missile base in Scotland. Volunteers 'lock-on' to each other in front of the gates as police try to prevent them. In between, the band play their popular song 'I Swear'.

  • What a bunch of greeny fascist wankers.....get a job and stop spongeing off everyone else you twats

  • Thanks for the advice! From the tone of your comment I would guess that you are a tory facist wanker. Hope it made you feel better to get that off your chest.

  • How long have you been protesting?? what difference have you made? (apart from re-directing police resources out of the communities that badly need them, annoying the local residents, disrupting the local traffic) NONE. So do us all a favour, go get a job and contribute to society instead of milking it.

  • As I have said before, things change when small groups of people are prepared to make themselves heard. We raise awareness and get people thinking. Differences? Well the road protesters changed this countrie's road building policy, and the GM food campaigners stopped gm food being grown in this country, and labelled in food. Poll tax? Um... women's liberation? A cross in a box every election sometimes isn't enough. It is our responsibility to question the decisions made on our behalf.

  • I am shocked beyond belief at the state of these comments. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves. Half of you believe that nuclear weapons are bad yet attack the few brave people in this country who have the guts to do something about it. How do you think change actually happens? So a few people can't get to work for a few hours, self-centeredness at it's height. And FYI I am a teacher with a degree and not a sponger. The question isn't IF people like Seize The Day make a difference,it's WHEN.

  • Love you <3

  • I've been arrested at Faslane, and I've had only 5 months unemployment in the 8 years since I left university. Is that a dole scrounger?

  • Keep up the good work guys! Aren't we lucky that we live in a society where we have the luxury of debating how 'police resources are used', rather than having to fight to speak, or having our homes destroyed, children taken

Really love your 'Seize the Day' song. We'd love to play it in our piece of theatre we're creating to raise awareness of the work of Amnesty International. Would be cool to meet you guys too - hear loads about you from the lovely lady who runs the 'Tiny Tea Tent' at Greenbelt.

  • Goodness me, what a lot of vitriol and hatred! Do these people maybe feel a little THREATENED that people like Shannon & theo stand up & be counted? If we want to live in a fair, just world, we have to fight injustice. There is no other way. With my hammer I break the chain.......

.......and yes, I have a job too! As if that makes the slightest bit of difference :/

  • This self-indulgent nonsense achieved nothing except making the smug middle-class protestors feel better. Police diverted, traffic mayhem, distress to the local community. The media, politicians and the wider public completely ignored it. Nuclear weapons are bad but they don't sell drugs to my kids or stab me in the street. Why don't you do something about that? Because it's difficult, dirty and dangerous. Leave it to the police - who are all tied up at Faslane! Way to go...

  • Wow that was inspirational and reminds me there are some decent people in this world still, not just who think, but act. You have my full respect for this act of sanity in this increasingly insane world,
