@andreleger2001 why does it only get through that much my air rifle could get through that many jugs
-
Where did you find that ammo for that cheap? where i live its like 15 bucks for a box
-
@typeanoise yep, they are amazing, u can still run 1 or 2 patches down it but, u don't really have to
-
Just bought a Bore Snake and wow, works great. It cleaned the barrel more thoroughly and in half the time compared to using patches.
-
@typeanoise Yep I use a .30 cal on mine, instead of using 50 patches lol
-
Yeah I know. I clean mine every time after I've shot it, I swab it down with no.9. I do need to get a Bore Snake though, will 30.cal bore snake work? Thanks.

@typeanoise The surplus ammo is a lot cheaper than most brands and easier to find but it is corrosive meaning the gun propelent in the shell will eat ur barrel if u let it sit to long, ur barrel will look green like the statue of liberty if uncleaned lol. easy to clean though put some windex down the barrel and use a bore snake, then hoppies no.9 cleaner and repeat until clean, should take 10 to 15 min.

The surplus ammo is great as long as you clean your Mosin after you're done firing it. I clean my weapons well after firing any ammo so whats the big deal getting the surplus?
-
Good ammo. I use it in woodchucks and it does nasty things, I take the liberty to clip the tips off a few, creates a dum-dum round. That really busts things up! I get a lot of stuff at fairly close range, imagine it would really mess up accuracy further out. This ammo has a nice smooth case that feeds/extracts nicely. Sometimes my steel case surplus ammo wants to get lodged in chamber, never have a problem with this. Coyote? 7.62x54 would devastate it!

@justinmfielder15 Considering that a .308 Winchester is pretty much a 7.62x51, and you compare it to the 54r, yeah it will mess some shit up :)
How much did this box cost?

@Dtac25 About 8 dollars for 20 rounds.

are the a corrosive round?
USCisgay 5 months ago
@USCisgay No they are non-corrosive. Generally the corrosive stuff is much older ammo from military stockpiles.

@justinmfielder15 From what I understand the power of the 7.62x54r round is somewhere between .308 and .30-06.
