Moacir Santos was a genius, and the greatest Brazilian songwriter of them all.
Mark Levine & The Latin Tinge re-create some of his best songs with the CD that is the subject of this video,
to be released in September 2009.

  • Thanks Makla. First time I saw this. Not sure about some of the video effects, like slow motion. I prefer to see people playing in real time, especially when it's this kind of music. I do like the interspersed interviews. Again, thanks for keeping Moa alive. Paul Smith, Moacir Santos alumnus.

  • There were actually 3 Bluenote albums. Mark really nails it. This is a wonderful CD and a great proper tribute to Moacir. I had the pleasure of knowing him and playing with him. I love this CD.
