1. Iran is SURROUNDED by nuclear nations,. Israel has HUNDREDS of nukes. MANY pointed right at Iran. Of COURSE they want nuclear weapons
2. The US overthrew a well liked democratically leader and replaced him with a facsist brutal dictator almost purely to get a better deal on oil and to make ISRAEL safer.

President Reagan was an idiot. There I said it. Difference between Carter and Reagan...if you want to compare hard line policies dealing with Iran that is. Carter, sends in special forces at least attempting to rescue the hostages. Reagan, sends a diplomat to Iran armed with a bible signed by President Reagan and a cake to give to Ayatollah Khomeini. Carter...Delta force Reagan...cake and a bible. So you decide if Reagan was really the genius that Republicans hail him to be.
