Twenty letters were sent; twenty letters received by twenty individuals. All were signed with the same name. Professor Virgil Holly was requesting a meeting. A husband turned to his wife who carried the same letter, wondering out loud if either of them knew who this Virgil was. No one knew. As far as the world knew, Virgil didn't exist. No, no...Virgil no longer existed. The tall colored man who had graduated high school at the age of sixteen had simply fallen off the face of the world, yet here it was. Written proof that Virgil still existed. And what was this? A bird's footprint? A crow's, to be more exact. I just happen to have a copy of this letter; though I never did respond. I assume Virgil will one day forgive me.
