Black Rock Station

Back in 2003 I was the foreman of the Black Rock Station. For the better part of a year, we cleaned up 280 acres. Black Rock Station is work ranch of the Black Rock City, LLC, the company that produces the burning man event. Here are some other links, if you are interested in the history of the clean up.

As far as I know, and have seen, BRS is completely changed and Washoe county is happy. We cleaned that mess up.

As one of the elders of Burningman (Baker Beach

1990 and at Black Rock from '91 to '03) I've watched

the event grow from a few hundred to what it is

today. I went from helping to build the 'Man

in '91 to eventually becoming the senior builder. This video is a nice slice of 'backstage history' and

I'm glad to see it be shared with the thousands

of participants who would not otherwise get to

see some of what goes on 'behind the scenes'.
