This is a video of Phase 4 of the Olin College Biomimetic Robotic Snake project. This snake robot is capable of moving in the serpentine gait.

Note that the wheels are entirely passive (i.e. not driven); this is an exaggeration of the non-isotropic friction of snake's skin during the serpentine gait. The snake locomotes forward due entirely to its change in internal shape.

i think that the snakes having wheels defeats the purpose of it being a snake
