  • I will never say "Say So-Long or Goodbye to this version of perfection" Tears are falling from my face 53 years later. Thank you for all of these feelings.

  • @bransonbelle Wow! You are very welcome.

  • GREAT FREDDIE (one of the daughter's of the late & great HANK BALLARD of Hank Ballard & the Midnighters) LYNN WILLIAMS.

  • Wow! Thanks for visiting! You father helped invent Rock and Roll, literally. For those who don't know, he wrote "THE TWIST' and invented the dance!

  • Where was this from? Is it available on DVD?

  • This is from PBS' "Soul Celebration: More Soul Baby" DVD. It is apart of the larger music telethons ran on PBS, and produced by TJ Lubinsky. Included in this DVD is Jerry Butler, Ben E. King, James Brown, Kim Weston, Frankie Gaye (Marvin's brother), Sam Moore, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Eddie Floyd, Temptations, the Miracles, the Isley Brothers, Percy Sledge and more.

  • Outstanding! I just now favorited this one, the one at BB King's and the original. Oh, I remember 1963 so well, and thought "I'm so lucky to be happy and in love". Little did I know that I'd be singing this song a few years later to "the man that got away". It happens to the best of us - but Freddie made it a little easier and smoother!!

  • Freddie Scott--- What a class act!!

  • I WAS IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASED. I THINK I WAS 12 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME! WHEN MY OLDER SISTER DIED IN 1998, I PLAYED THIS RECORD NON-STOP BUT COULDN'T FIND IT BY FREDDY, SO I PLAYED IT BY MICHAEL MCDOANALD, WHICH ALSO WAS NICE. I LOVE THE SENTIMENT OF THESE LYRICS. NO MORE LIKE THESE TODAY, UNFORTUNATELY. IT'S ALL SEX NOW. SOOOOO SAD!

  • OUTSTANDING!!!

AT THIS TIME HE STILL SOUNDED GREAT!!! BEAUTIFUL SONG, HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FAVORITE !!!

    GREAT CHA - CHA DANCE!!

  • I had the pleasure to work with Freddie back in the day, music is just not the same anymore..

  • His voice was amazing. Great performer, and makes me believe that those kids in American Idol worth nothing compared with the real artists.

  • If you can't feel this, you have no feeling at all. Freddie was as passionate as a man could be during this performance.

  • 4:49 video: "Hey Girl" by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, first recorded and 1963 hit song for Freddie Scott (April 24, 1933 – June 4, 2007).
