The Kruger National Park offers wonderfully varied options to suit just about every taste. As it is a year-round destination, it's best to know what weather and climate each season offers before deciding on when to go as this will determine the type of experience you will have. This footage was shot in June 2009 in South Africa's winter season, by Emma Harrop, a Go2Africa consultant. Dry Season (Winter)
This is usually between May and August, although rainfall starts declining in April and is still fairly low in September and October. This is possibly the best time to visit for game-viewing as permanent waterholes attract animals, the vegetation becomes thinned out, and trees don't have so many leaves to obstruct the view.
