I LOVE the USMC!! Without the Marines, we would not have the freedoms we do have. I respect all Branches of the Miltary and i am grateful for them because they are all VERY important to the US for us to win and for our protection.

The only thing I remember on 9/11 was my grandmas face as she found out my aunt was dead... it will be an honor when I become a United States Marine... Karma's a bitch and i'm just delivering the message...

Ditto. As I was a network tech in the wing side I am sure the grunts were glad to have communications and be able to call in those air strikes and artillery strikes so they would not have to dive into a bad situation. I didn't only provide comm I did time on guard but I'm sure that doesn't compare to the time spent on a convoy but just the same you cant live without comm.

True that.
Follow this advice. I can begin to explain how much the crucible (Hollywood side) hurt. We had ppl break both ankles on that climb. One more word of advice learn to speak in the 3rd person. you will understand what I mean when you get there. Semper Fi!

I did my time in Afghanistan but nothing compares to the people that risk there lives and dive into the fold to save even 1 at the risk and sometimes sacrifice of themselves.

apologies. You are correct.... but as you pointed out the "persons other than grunts" stuck behind desks on gov't payroll are still up to their old tricks. These poor bastards went to do an impossible job, then were disposed of by the people that sent them. Just venting my frustration.
