The best stadium organist retires by playing one last rendition of Here Comes The King after the seventh inning of the 10/3 Cardinals/Rockies game at Busch. Footage is a little shaky, my apologies.
@RickO4404 - At least Hays got a decent sendoff. The Phillies built Richie Ashburn Stadium...err...Citizens Bank Park without an organ booth, and Paul Richardson had to play in Ashburn Alley, the outfield concourse. The Phils put Richardson out to pasture after the 2004 season, which was the first at CBP. He died two years later, and the Phils are merely using canned renditions of Richardson's performances.
There is only ONE Ernie Hays --The rest are just pretenders to his thrown!!!! He will be missed!!!!!!
